WebC++. Packet Sender is an open source utility to allow sending and receiving TCP, UDP, and SSL (encrypted TCP) packets. The mainline branch officially supports Windows, Mac, and Desktop Linux (with Qt). Other places may recompile and redistribute Packet Sender. Packet Sender is free and licensed GPL v2 or later. WebI recently learned boost.asio. It's solid, but I wouldn't say it's clearly the best. There are 2 reasons you would really want to learn it. #1, and this is a big one, the upcoming standard socket library will be based on Asio. #2 Its asynchronous socket stuff should theoretically scale very well to many clients.
